William John "Bill" Stollar, 91, of Massillon, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on May 2, 2025. He was born on October 1, 1933 to the late Spencer and Esta {Moyer} Stollar.
On August 6, 1965, he married Janice L. {Thern} Stollar. They raised their family together in Massillon, spending 42 wonderful years together before Janice's passing in 2007.
In addition to Janice and his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Delbert Stollar, sister Jean Beller, brother-in-law William Beller and sister-in-law Sandra Herbert.
Bill worked as a History Teacher for Perry Local Schools for 30 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed carving, painting, and was an avid bird watcher. He was a member of the Wilderness Center Carving Club in Wilmont, OH.
Bill is survived by his loving daughters, Julie Higgins and Jenny Stollar; siblings-in-law John Thern (Debbie), Linda Thern-Smith (Ralph) and Connie Niccolls (John).
Family and friends are invited to visit at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd. Massillon, OH 44646 on Tuesday, May 6th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service that begins at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery, where Bill will be laid to rest with Janice.
