William Nicholas Castora, age 78 of Palm Harbor, Florida, went to be with our Lord on September 7, 2025.
He was born in Massillon, Ohio on June 28, 1947, to Josephine David Castora and William Castora, Sr. His family and friends called him "Bill or Billy." Bill grew up in Massillon, Ohio and he attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Central Catholic High School. He later joined the Army and served in Vietnam. He had many talents and loved playing poker. He held positions as a meat cutter, a car salesman, school bus driver, and restaurant manager “Burger King Bill” in Massillon and Canton, Ohio. He enjoyed driving handicapped young adults to their “jobs.” Billy also volunteered for Bingo and Meals on Wheels. He also lived in Norwich, Connecticut with his wife Anita from 2000 - 2015 during his early retirement years.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Anita Castora, their beloved son, Paul Castora of Cincinatti, Ohio and brother, Vince Castora of Massillon, Ohio.
His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor touched everyone he met. His always had a smile on his face, a joke to tell, and was fun to be around. He loved his pets, Lulu and Felix, who were his constant companions.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 26, 2025 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with burial taking place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
