Walter Wagner

Walter D. Wagner, 82, of Massillon, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 29, 2025. He was born in Canton, Ohio on January 29, 1943 to the late Donald and Winifred Wagner (Mayo).

Walter graduated from Perry High School, Home of the Panthers, in 1961 and attended North Western State College in Alva, Oklahoma, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Sociology. He was a member of the Canton Grace Fellowship Church and had a deep love for the Lord.

Walter loved his family and friends deeply. He also had a love for being a radio DJ and helping people by selling insurance through Prudential which led into selling Wagner Insurance as an independent agent.

Walter is survived by Twin Daughters, Faith A. (Brian) Honaker and Hope M. Wagner; three Grandchildren, Grace M. Honaker, Elijah W. Honaker and Hannah J. Honaker; Brother, Doug Wagner; Niece, Elizabeth (Steve) Shankle; Brother-In-Law, Bob (Linda) Roud; Nieces, Amy (JP) Sexton, Amanda Hughes; He also leaves behind many long time friends and hopes each one will make the choice as he did for eternal life through the savior.

Walter is preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Barbara M. Wagner; Parents, Donald and Winifred Wagner; and Sister-In-Law, Sherry Wagner.

Visitation will be held on January 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, OH. A private burial will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
