Vincent 'Nip' Airhart

Vincent 'Nip' Airhart, age 95, of Navarre passed away peacefully Sunday December 6, 2009 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 16, 1914 and raised on the square of Navarre and died close to it. He was the son of X.B. Airhart and Ida Mae Girt. Vincent is survived by a son Charles (Barb) Airhart of Beach City, and a daughter Dixie Lee Witter of Navarre; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Florence E. (Neal) Airhart , one son, two grandsons, five brothers, six sisters and a son-in-law. Vincent worked as a butcher for 28 years for Airhart’s Meat Market of Navarre, and four years for the Stark County road crew. He and his wife were house parents at the Berea Methodist Children’s Home for seven years. Nip says goodbye to all his family, relatives, friends, and enemies. See you all in heaven, I hope.
