Valerie A. Miller

Valerie A. Miller, age 96 passed away on March 13, 2026 in Macedonia, OH, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 26, 1930 to Nickolas and Anna Moran.

Valerie graduated from Shenango High School in New Castle, PA. She worked for Kelly Temporary Services for a total of 32 years as a supervisor in Canton, OH and Greenville, SC. Valerie enjoyed working and being with people. After retiring from Kelly Services for a few years, Valerie was a receptionist for Gerber Children’s Wear in SC. In 2005 Valerie and Thurman returned to Ohio. She attended Church Of The Lakes until moving to Macedonia, OH. Valerie was a member of Canton Coterie Club, Shriners Ladies and 40 years with Nazir Cauldron. She loved playing cards, reading, bowling, shopping, and spending time with her loving family and friends.

Valerie is survived by her daughters Deborah (Jack) Blakney and Pamela (Dale) Woodruff, her grandchildren, Meagan (Brian) Cook, Jonathan (Penny) Moore, and Cory Woodruff, her great-grandchildren Ethan and Quinn Moore and Jack Cook.

Valerie was preceded in death by her husband Thurman, son Timothy, and seven siblings Frank, Zach, Howard, John, Nick, Peter, and Irene.

A Celebration of Valerie’s Life will be held from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Church Of The Lakes, 5944 Fulton Dr NW, Canton, OH on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Funeral service begins at 11:00 am with Pastor Bryan George officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
