Tina Rae DeJane

Tina Rae DeJane, age 73, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026. She was born on March 5th, 1952 in Salem, Ohio to Donald W. “Ducky” and Jean E. (Moore) DeJane.

A 1970 graduate of Salem High School, Tina spent most of her adult life in Massillon, Ohio where she dedicated her professional career to the medical field. She worked as a phlebotomist and later as Information Technology support for Doctors Hospital and Aultman Hospital serving patients and staff with skill, care, and quiet dedication.

Tina’s faith and love for young people shaped much of her life. Through First Christian Church of Massillon, she served faithfully as Youth Director, choir member, Deaconess, Elder, and IT coordinator for weekly worship services. Her ministry extended throughout the region with the Disciples of Christ through Chi Rho and CYF programs where she mentored countless youths. Tina spent many summers at Camp Christian serving as a youth counselor and later as an assistant director. These roles reflected her deep commitment to nurturing, guiding, and encouraging young lives.

Her heart belonged to Jacob Miller; her beloved “adopted“ son. Tina is also survived by her brother, Timothy DeJane; her niece, and nephew, Erica and June; and several aunts, uncles, and numerous dear friends who will miss her kindness, wisdom, and steady presence.

A celebration of Tina’s Life will be held on February 7th, 2026, at 10:00 am at the First Christian Church of Massillon, 1020 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon, Ohio 44646. The service will be officiated by her lifelong friend, The Rev. Dr. Darrell Filler and Pastor Sara Coons. Tina will be laid to rest at Hope Cemetery in Salem, Ohio in a private family committal.
