Thomas Arthur Malinowski

Thomas Arthur Malinowski, 85, of Canton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Born at home in Jackson Township on January 12, 1941 to Clarence and Esther (Bullach) Malinowski. Tom lived his entire life in Jackson Township.

A 1959 graduate of Jackson High School, Tom excelled in football and continued his love for the game all his life. He was one of the founders of the Jackson Sideliners, coached Jackson little league football, and sponsored an adult flag football team. College football was his favorite as he traveled to many games throughout the country. Tom enjoyed playing cards, listening to Elvis, peanut butter desserts, and the many family vacations to Hilton Head Island. Above all, he loved his family and he never met a stranger.

Following graduation, Tom went to work for Bullach and Poth Plumbing Company. He entered the 5 year plumbers and pipefitters apprenticeship program, spending his entire life in the trade. He was co-owner of L&M Plumbing of Massillon and a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 94 Canton, Ohio. He also was a member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church, Jackson Lions Club, The Wilderness Center, and Massillon Museum.

The most important part of Tom's life was his family. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Judith (Brumbaugh) Malinowski; son Michael Malinowski (Jennifer); daughters Dana Ginther (Ed) and Michelle Bayda (Ken); grandchildren Anthony Bayda (Katlyn), Caitlin Dimos (Phil), and Greg Ginther (Alyssa); six great grand daughters: Allianna, Irelie, Syler, Kylie, Layla, Addison; brother Bill Malinowski (Kathy); sister in law Virginia Malinowski, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents and brothers Ron Malinowski (Pat), Jack Malinowski, and Leo Malinowski (Marilyn).

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home at 1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at St Jacob Lutheran Church at 8697 Mudbrook St NW, Massillon, Ohio on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM.

The family would like to offer sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the doctors who cared for Tom during these difficult times, the aides and nurses at Massillon Health and Rehab Center and Aultman Hospice for their loving care and support.
