Thomas E. Cary, 68, of Massillon, passed away on March 18, 2023 following an extended illness.
Born on September 4, 1954, Tom was a 1973 graduate of Washington High School, and a proud veteran of The United States Marine Corps. Tom worked as a machinist for Hendrickson Trailer Suspension.
He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans, and South Fork Fishing Club. He played the banjo and harmonica, and loved painting, woodworking, hunting and fishing. He also was a hobby arborist and gardener.
A dedicated family man, Tom is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years, Paulette (Siffrin) Cary; their children, Lucas (Brey Gang) Cary and Jacob (Carrie) Cary; beloved grandchildren, Sebastien Cary, Makayla Cary, and Mason Cary; sister, Cynthia (Vince) Dec; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen M. (White) Cary; and brother, Charles Cary.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 23, 2023, 10:30 am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Massillon by Msgr. Robert Siffrin.
A private burial will be held in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
