Sandra Williams, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 13, 1936 in Canton, Ohio to the late Nicholas and Rose (Saccucci) Francis. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Simia.
Sandra was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1954. She was employed by JC Penney in downtown Canton during that time. She then worked for Ohio Bell in the engineering department, until she had her first child. Married to Ray Williams in 1959, the two celebrated 67 years of marriage happily raising six children. During these years she was also a devoted and active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, singing in the choir, and serving as a Eucharistic minister to the Hanover House, Altercare Noble's Pond, and those unable to attend mass. She loved gardening, reading, shopping, attending her grandchildren's theater, band, choir and athletic events, in addition to all of the family get together's.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ray Williams; children, Mary (Ray) Bauman, Beth Batchi, Steve (Lisa) Williams, Ray (Michele) Williams, Rosie (Greg) Dean, and John (Sara) Williams; grandchildren, Eric and Nathan Bauman, Cassandra, Dominick, and Abigail (Owen Braholli) Batchi, Josh, Aaron, and Danny Williams, Jason and Brandon Williams, Emily (Eddie) Gonzalez, Mike and Katie Dean, Colin (Molly McNulty) Williams, Justin (Ibby) Williams, and Riley Williams; great-grandchildren, Steadman and Weston Dean; and also survived by siblings, Nicholas (Jude) Francis and Trish Francis.
Sandra's prayers were always for the safety of her children and her grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 6, 2026 at 11:00am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
