Robert Williams

Robert Williams, a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on March 5, 1947, Robert lived a life characterized by his love for family and friends. He had so many roles in the community, he was affectionately known by several variations of his name, including Robert, Will, Willie, Bob, Dad, and Gramps.

A proud life-long resident of Brewster, Ohio, and graduate of Brewster High School. Robert’s journey was further enriched by his service in the United States Army, where he was able to have many new experiences that impacted his life greatly. He had many interests including golfing, reading, music, sports, and caring for his beloved dogs. Throughout his life, he had various jobs, including being a police officer, car salesman, delivery driver, and industrial painter. Willie built many lasting relationships by being active in the community through coaching and mentoring youth. He was proud to drive his car or march in the Football Hall of Fame parade in his military uniform. He was a member of The Moose Lodge and the American Legion Treasurer. Robert created a warm and loving environment that is fondly recalled by those who had the privilege of knowing him. Uncle Willie and his wife, Cynthia, opened their home to family and friends in need which created a legacy of caring for others - they were helpers.

Robert leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by his Son, Matt Williams; and grandchildren, Dylan Williams and Ziggy Williams.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Cynthia Williams with whom he enjoyed a deep and loving marriage. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and William Williams; and sister, Dorothy Jean.

His visitation will take place at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon, Ohio, on January 17, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the same location beginning at 4:00 PM.
