Ricky R. McHenry

Ricky R. McHenry, 77, of Massillon, passed away on September 6, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 24, 1949 to Dennis and Ruth McHenry in Sand Fork, WV.

Ricky was an extremely hard-worker; he was a machine operator for Meter Devices before entering into retirement. During his retirement, he found a special joy in playing "EverQuest" on his computer.

He loved fishing, horseshoes, billiards, playing cards, and chess. His family would take a yearly trip to Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee fishing for small mouth bass. Ricky would lovingly share his meals with the family dogs from the comfort of his recliner.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Cathie J. McHenry, son, Craig McHenry; daughter, Julie (Robert) Berens, and grandchildren Michael, Zachary, Briana, and Faith.

He is preceded in death by his infant son, Brian Lee McHenry, parents Dennis and Ruth McHenry, and two brothers.

Memorials are suggested to the Stark County Dog Warden.
