Richard Zearley

Richard “Rick” Zearley, age 71, of Navarre, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026. He was born on July 23, 1955. Rick was a graduate of Perry High School, Class of 1973, and The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute, Class of 1977. An avid outdoorsman, Rick found great enjoyment in spending time outdoors and landscaping, taking pride in creating and maintaining the beauty of his surroundings. A master furniture and cabinetmaker by trade, he began his career at Arden Riddle Furniture and later retired from Schneider Lumber. His passion for woodworking continued throughout his life, most notably in the construction of his own home, where his craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in the work he lovingly completed.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence “Bud” Zearley and JoAnn Zearley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nancy; his sons, Adam (Eddie) and Clayton; his grandchildren, Kristina and Cameron; and his sister, Linda (Kim) Powell.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Floor 6 East at Aultman Hospital for their compassionate care, kindness, and support during Rick’s time there.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Tam O’ Shanter Park, 5055 Hills and Dales Road NW, Canton, OH 44708. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and celebrate Rick’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Rick’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
