Richard Allen "Rick" West

Richard Allen "Rick" West, of Bolivar, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2025 at Union Hospital in Dover, following a brief illness.

Born on April 19, 1950, Rick was a 1968 graduate of Perry High School and raised his family there before moving to Bolivar in 2000. He worked locally for Merit Plastics and DLH Industries.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Stanley A. West, Mildred F. West and his sisters Wanda Keagy and Linda Greenwalt.He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Linda Eileen {Kelly} West; his children, Robert (Tammy) West and Jason (Nikki) West; 9 grandchildren, Callie (Cory) Williams, Richard, Rebecca, Ian, Mark (Caiteliyn), Tate, Dane (Kayla), Crew and Bree; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Rick had many aliases while he was with us - Dad, Pop, Bud, Creep-pa, Crap-pa, Grandpa and Wildman!

Rick was an avid football fan, and loved spending his fall weekends watching every game he could with Linda! Rick and Linda also loved to travel together, especially going to car shows and looking at all the old cars.

Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and loved the outdoors. He was always admiring Gods beauty in all things. He loved spending time with his dogs Deuce and Chloe, and his cat Otis, all of whom will be lost without his company.

Rick was a hardworking man who prioritized his family at every turn. Rick's many friends and family will miss him dearly!

A celebration of Rick's life will be planned for a later date. Details will be posted once decided. A private graveside will be held for Rick's family at Rose Hill Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
