Rev. Dr. Clifford Allan Price

Rev. Dr. Clifford Allan Price, 73, of Canton, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 10, 2025, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on October 7, 1951, in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Joseph and Barbara (Kemp) Price.

Dr. Price graduated from Harvey High School in Painesville, Ohio; and continued his education by obtaining a BA from the University of Vermont. He then attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where he obtained a Master of Divinity and later earned a Doctor of Ministry from Ashland Theological Seminary. Dr. Price served numerous churches in Northeast Ohio including Fairport Harbor, Andover, New Lyme, Massillon, Canton and Navarre over the last 40 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Amie Madeline (Lowe) Price; children, Mark Andrew Price, MD (Jessica) of Salt Lake City, Utah and Matthew Allan Price (Whitney) of Bellevue, Ohio; grandchildren, Madeline Price, Layla Price, Avery Price and Lincoln Price; sister, Karen (Price) Ziegler of Unionville, Ohio; brother-in-law, Alan M. Lowe of Virginia Beach, VA; and many nieces and nephews.

Rev. Dr. Clifford Allan Price (aka Pastor Cliff, PC, Papa C and Peepaw) loved God and loved people. He was a faithful minister of the gospel, a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather. As a minister, Pastor Cliff served on the Red Cross Board; on the founding board of Canton Habitat for Humanity; was a delegate to General Synod; led area clergy groups; served on the Evangelism and Spiritual Life Committee; was spiritual director of numerous East Ohio Emmanuel Emmaus Retreats and Koinonia Retreats, as well as Kairos Prison Ministry Retreats. Pastor Cliff loved teaching the Bible; helping people mature in their faith; and loved visiting and caring for people, both inside and outside of the church. As a husband, Cliff deeply loved his wife, Amie. They enjoyed being in ministry together and their marriage was a testimony to many. She was his primary caregiver, as he battled Parkinson’s Disease, with dementia and psychosis, the last 10 years of his life. He was in a memory care facility for several months prior to passing away. As a father, Cliff’s sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved watching them play sports and spending time with them.

Cliff was a voracious reader and was very intellectual, yet also very humble. He read anything from astrophysics to theology and especially liked early American history. He enjoyed gardening, model railroading, collecting historical memorabilia and loved long walks on the beach with his wife. Cliff was dearly loved and will be greatly missed; but he is now healed and whole and praising God in heaven! He fought the good fight and kept the faith, even while dealing with Parkinson’s. Well done, good and faithful servant!

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Paquelet Funeral Home (1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon, Ohio). Funeral services will follow at 4:00pm at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. David Kimberly officiating.
