Reda G. Higgs

Reda G. Higgs, 85, of Massillon, went home to be with The Lord on February 27, 2025. 

She was born on June 10, 1939 in Dunbar, West Virginia. 

She graduated from Canton South High School, and was a member of Dueber United Methodist Church. Reda was the Cafeteria Manager at Genoa Elementary School, retiring from Perry Local Schools in 2005 after 27 years of service. She was dedicated to her family, friends and community. She enjoyed, good food, music, reading and crafts. 

Reda is survived by her children, Deena J. (Phillip) Long, and Eric C. (Sherri) Higgs; grandchildren, Madison (Maria) Long and Jordan (Matthew) Long-Hartmann; sister-in-law, Johanna Middleton; special cousin, Shirley Gauze; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard W. Middleton; mother, Pauline M. (Beachy) Love; and brother, Howard "Butch" Middleton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, 11:00 am at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, with Pastor John George, officiating. 

 Internment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southern Care Hospice or Dueber United Methodist Church.
