Randal Dale Studer, 71, of Massillon, passed away on August 5, 2026 after a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 27, 1955 to the late Dale and Viola (Schaffer) Studer in Massillon, OH.
Randal worked as a Salesman for Ohio Materials Handling. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Eagles, Sons of Herman, and Elks.
Randal graduated from Jackson High School in 1974 and was a member of the previous record-holding swim team. He was an excellent water skier and loved Port Clinton and Lake Erie, where he maintained a summer home for many years. He loved going out on the water in his boat, fishing and taking his family skiing and tubing. Randal enjoyed golf, especially playing with his son. He loved Nascar, attending football games, and was an amazing cook. He grew the ingredients he needed to cook by maintaining a small garden, with various herbs and vegetables. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Randal is survived by his loving son, Brett (Jaime) Studer, cousins Barry (Christine) Pitkin, Chad (Tanya) Pitkin and their son, Sawyer, friends Tammy Shallenberger, Tara (Spencer) Seckman and their four children.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dale and Viola, and the family dog, Scout.
A celebration of life will be held at the Sons of Herman, 1994 Deermont Ave NW, Massillon, OH 44647 on Sunday, October 25th, 2026 in the pavilion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Randal's name to your local humane society or animal shelter.
