Philip D. Williams Sr., age 67, passed away after his courageous and resilient battle with cancer on July 6, 2025. He was born in Massillon, Ohio on April 27, 1958, to the late Louise D. Williams. In his spare time, he enjoyed sports, listening to music, barbecuing, and riding his motorcycle.
Philip was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers and Massillon Tigers fan. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his children and grandchildren. Throughout his career with Stark County Community Action Agency, he started out doing insulation and progressed to a certified and licensed inspector and retired after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his children Kendrayle Longshore, LaKisha (Justin) Chester, Philip (Kristen) Williams Jr., Brittiany (Courtney) Reid, Dewayne (Jennifer) Zimmerman, Isaiah (Shalise Gamble) Zimmerman, and Tamika (Greg Wiggins) Hofius; grandchildren Kania N. Williams, Deovion Livingston, Jayanna Davenport, Honesty Livingston, Avyanna Chester, Donavyn Chester, Junae Chester, Justus Chester, Kingslee Chester, Jaden Williams, Kenyon & Kynslie Williams, Antonio Cornelius, Chase Bond, Deangelo Zimmerman, Mariah Zimmerman, Ashton Ellis, Kendrick Zimmerman, Zoey Zimmerman, Miles Wiggins, Malik & Messiah Wiggins; great grandchildren Kingston Davenport, Kyior Wise; his sisters Marcia Williams, and Lynette Williams as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his oldest son Maurice D. Williams and his brother Michael Driver.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 10:00am – 11:00 am at the Paquelet Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 11:00 am, Pastor James Chester officiating.
