Peter Nikolis

Peter Nikolis, age 78 of Massillon, passed Sunday morning. He was born in Yugoslavia to the late Nikola & Dorothy Nikolis. The Nikolis family moved to Massillon when Peter was 5 yrs. old. Peter was a mill rite for Republic Steel which is where he retired after 46 yrs of loyal service. On January 29, 1948 Peter married the love of his life, Leona (Hawk) Nikolis. After Peter retired he had time to spend with his family, make music, video tapes & fishing lures for his friends. He was a good hearted man who was willing to do anything for anyone. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mary Nussbaumer in 1990. Survived by: Wife Leona Nikolis of Massillon 1 son & daughter-in-law Nick Nikolis & Connie Venosdle of Navarre Beloved dog Nicky 1 sister Katie & Kenny Halco of Massillon 1 brother George & Sandy Nikolis of Perry Hts. many nieces & nephews Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. There will be a Parastos service at 7 P.M. on Tuesday. The funeral will be on Wednesday at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Fr. Drgan Filipovic, will officiate.
