Paulette Sue Bailey

Paulette “Paula” Sue Hodgson - Bailey, 67 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Paula was born on September 25, 1950 in Confluence, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Thomas and Janet (Moon) Nicholas. Paula was a 1968 graduate of Washington High School. She taught preschool at Rivertree Christian Academy in Jackson Township. She played and sang in gospel and country bands, led a Christian based puppeteering group, and started a quilting club. Paula was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hodgson; sister, Debra Nicholas; and her cousin Joyce Triplett. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Hodgson; brother, Timothy (Sherry) Nicholas; grandchildren, Alexandria and Mitchell Imhoff; and her cousin, Eleanor Lawson. A Celebration of Paula’s life will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Newmans Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 - 1 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice Services.
