Norma Jean Burns passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026 after a short illness. Norma was born on June 6, 1943 in Massillon, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Mary Kate (Russell) Robinson. She was a graduate of Washington High School, class of 1961, and a resident of Perry Township. Norma retired from Siffrin in 2018 after 20 years of service.

Norma was a member of Grace Cathedral in Cuyahoga Falls for over 40 years. She had a deep love for gospel music, playing the piano, and found great joy in reading her Bible, playing video games like Pac-Man, and spending time with her dog, Monty.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald Lee and Theodore Robinson; sisters, Delores Allen and Ramona Norris; infant sister, Betty; and her daughter, Sheila Smith.

She is survived by her children, Gregory Burns and Darlene Baad; grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Angela (Ivan) Gadson, Breanna Smith, and Niaha Baad; siblings, Thomas Robinson, Leonard Robinson, Charles Robinson, Larry Robinson, Leroy Robinson, Lester Robinson, and Julia Robinson; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held for close relatives.
