Nelle H. Maurer

Nelle H. Maurer, 93 of Perry Township, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015. Nelle was born on June 15, 1921 in Bethesda, OH the daughter of Stanley and Mildred (Organ) Brown. She worked at the Massillon State Hospital for 25 years retiring in 1981. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Maurer of 40 years, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her son, James W. (Carla) Maurer and daughter Lynette (Mark) Eklund; her granddaughters, Kristen, Jaime, and Heather; her great grandchildren, Kendall, Riley, Nolan, Parker, Tyler and Lexi; her sister Myrna Conaway; and numerous nieces and nephews. In honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no calling hours or services. Private inurnment will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
