Michael Spindler

Michael Spindler, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedication both in his work and family life. Born on November 29, 1973, Michael’s journey through life was marked by a deep love for his family and an unwavering commitment to excellence in his profession.

For more than 35 years, Michael cherished his career as a flooring installer, a trade in which he earned great praise. Known for being a perfectionist, he approached every project with meticulous care and pride, setting a standard of craftsmanship that was admired by clients and colleagues alike. His work was not just a job but a reflection of his integrity and perseverance.

Michael’s love of the outdoors was another defining aspect of his character. An avid hunter and enthusiast of nature’s beauty, he found joy in spending time outside, engaging in picnics and exploring the natural world. These moments in nature were where he truly felt at peace and connected.

Beyond his professional achievements, Michael was a man who truly valued his family. He was celebrated as a great husband to his wife, Rachel, and a dedicated father to his children: Shelbie Davis, Andrew Spindler, Aidan Shollenberger, Gwendolyn Shollenberger, and Liam Shollenberger; Mother, Debbie Wymer. His affectionate role extended grandparenthood where he was lovingly known as “pop-pop” to his five grandchildren: Anaveah Rutter, Nova Spindler, Kialoh Rutter, Kieran Rutter, and Karson Spindler. Michael’s warmth and guidance were sources of strength and comfort to all who knew him.

He was also part of a close-knit family that included his brothers Kenny Estep, Judd Estep, and Kyle Gloss, as well as his sisters Michelle Evans and Alex Allen. Among his circle of trusted confidants was his mentor, Harold Musci, who played an important role in shaping his life and personal philosophy.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ted Estep, and his grandfather, Jack McConnell, whose memories he held dear throughout his life.

Michael Spindler’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. His devotion, skill, and kindness will long be remembered and cherished by his loved ones. As the family gathers to honor his life, they take comfort in the enduring impact he made and the countless lives he touched with his gracious spirit and steadfast love.
