Michael J. Murajda

Michael J. Murajda, 89, of Massillon, passed away following a brief illness on May 20, 2022. He was born on August 7, 1932 to the late Charles and Helen (Prehoda) Murajda in Adrian , PA. Mike worked as a machinist for General Motors and retired in 1988. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mike was active at the Massillon Senior Center and loved Square Dancing, fishing, and playing Euchre . He was a proud member of the U.A.W.. Mike was an accomplished woodworker, always ready with a joke and could fix anything. Michael is survived by his loving daughters, Mary Jo( Richard) Sanders and Rebecca M. Racey; sisters, Anne Murajda, Martha Bembenick and Dorothy Pisarcek; grandchildren, Jaime( Eric) Sanders, Ashley (Matt) Green, Morgan Sanders (Rob) Davidge and Jakob M. Racey; great-grandchildren, Holli Sanders and Dylan Davidge. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, JoAnn (Ostrowski) Murajda; and five siblings. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 9:00 am - 10:15am at Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Raymond Paul, on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 10:30 am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Massillon, Ohio.
