Melvin F. Paxton

Melvin F. Paxton, 76, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 14, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born in Gamoca, WV on June 3, 1936 to the late Vincen & Beulah (Bulmer) Paxton. Melvin worked at the Republic LTV Steel Plant as a furnace operator. He was a veteran serving in the US ARMY. He was a member of the Massillon Senior Center. He is survived by a sister, Hydrith Martin of Gauley Bridge, WV, a niece , Linda ( Donald) Baltzer of Navarre and a grand-nephew Douglas Baltzer of Massillon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Watkins Paxton, whom passed in November of 2010. A private grave side service will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
