Melvin Ray Barrett

Melvin Ray Barrett, 90, of Massillon, passed away on June 1, 2026 at Hanover Health Care.

He was born on February 29, 1936 to the late Delbert and Garnett (Barrett) Gumm in Falls Mill, WV.

He retired from Fredericksburg Steel and was a veteran of The United States Army.

Melvin is survived by his son, Donald (Penny Swawaney) Barrett; sister, Barbara Barnes; and niece, Crystal (David) Davis.

A private interment in West Virginia at a later date.
