Melody Anne Dyer

Melody Dyer, RN, 63, passed away on July 26, 2026 surrounded by her daughters and oldest grandson after a brief illness.

Melody was a 1980 graduate of Glen Oak High School and 1983 graduate of Aultman School of Nursing.

During her working years, Melody was a charge nurse in labor and delivery and assisted with many births at Mercy Medical Center. During retirement, Melody loved spending time in the pool under the hot sun, as well as caring for her grandchildren as she was able to.

Melody is survived by her daughters Sarah Dyer, Rebecca Dyer and Carrie (Ian) Campbell, grandchildren Matthew Bickis, Isaac Campbell and Lola Dickman, father Myron (Patricia) Long, step-father Wayne Lowe, Uncle John L. Holstein and ex-husband and friend Daniel Dyer, as well as many relatives and cherished friends. She will be joining her mother, Marlene (Carroll) Lowe, brother Milan Long, “Granny” Avis Ilene Holstein, “Papa” John Holstein, and many loved relatives in Heaven.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at The Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon, with funeral services starting at 12:00 pm, Pastor Todd Roberts, officiating.

Per her wishes, ashes will be spread in Ohio, Virginia, and at the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
