Maureen Haffner, 94, of Massillon, passed away on May 20, 2025 at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Center.
She was born on May 24, 1930 to the late Michael and Margaret (Baker) Fenlon in Liverpool, England
Maureen retired from Jackson Local Schools in 1993. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, where she volunteered with The St. Vincent DePaul Society Food Pantry. She was dedicated to her family and her faith. Known for her smile, sense of humor and beautiful accent, she warmed any room with her presence.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband, David Haffner; their children, Colette Tapp and Suzanne (Mike) David; grandchildren, Lexi (Josh) Hartman, Jordan (Lauren) David, and Nick (Bri) David; great-grandchildren, Lena and Kai Hartman; sister, Frances Jones; and many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Smithwick, Michael Fenlon, Kathleen Lewis, and Eileen Fenlon.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 9:30 am-10:30 am at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, 11:00 am at the Divine Mercy Parish St Mary's.
Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
