Mary Ellen Ragan

Mary Ellen Ragan, 72, of Massillon, died July 3, 2025. She was the daughter of Edward and Rose Ragan, who predeceased her. Mary Ellen graduated from Girard High School in 1971. 

She lived in Stark County for many years, the last 22 in Massillon. She had worked as a cook, with most of her career spent at Bob Evans in North Canton until her retirement in 2014.

Mary Ellen is survived by siblings Christine Babione (Bob), of Venice, Florida; Ted Ragan (Ginny), of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; and Kathleen Folkerth (Bruce), of Akron, Ohio; as well as nephews John McKenna, Calvin Folkerth and Andrew Ragan; nieces Megan Milburn (Jason), Kate McKenna, Elizabeth Ragan and Eden Folkerth; and great niece Madison Milburn and great nephew Max Milburn.

Per Mary Ellen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will host a celebration of life for Mary Ellen on Aug. 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Boat Shelter at Sippo Lake Park, 5300 Tyler Road (East Entrance), in Massillon.
