Mary Alice, 91, was born March 19, 1935 in Greenville, SC, the oldest of three children born to the late James and Gladys Miller.

She attended school in Greenville, SC, and Cleveland, OH.

She confessed to Christ at an early age, and belonged at one time or another to several churches throughout Cleveland. She always worked on the Usher Boards. Her latest, and longest, church was St. Peters AME Zion Church.

She was an active member of Bertha Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, which she held current and past offices in the city, state, and positions on Supreme Chapters.

In early 2000, she became a foster parent.

When she wasn't busy dusting her collection of many, many turtles, she was taking care of her houseplants. In the Spring, Summer, or Fall, you would find her outside working in her yard.
