Mary Jane Perrotti, 83, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away from the effects of Amyloidosis on June 7, 2026. She was born on October 16, 1942, in Greenville, PA to the late John and Agnes Ceremuga.
She passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family, with the same grace, courage, and profound faith in God that defined her entire life. She said that she was ready to be wrapped in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior and to be reunited with her beloved daughter, Lisa.
Mary Jane was a graduate of St. Michael High School in Greenville, Pennsylvania where she was a cheerleader, May Queen, and salutatorian of her graduating class. She was also a graduate of the Cleveland Academy of Professional Secretaries.
After marrying her high school sweetheart, Joseph Perrotti, in 1966, she became a mother of three beautiful daughters. She was a stay-at-home mother for many years. She was an active parent volunteer at St. Mary School during her daughters’ grade school years. Later, she took on the role of central receptionist at ECO Professional Building in North Canton for ten years where her professional abilities and magnetic personality made her the hub of activity for the building.
Mary Jane was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Mary’s Church for over fifty years. Mary Jane was kind and generous and lived her life with an ardent love for God and everyone she encountered. In return, everyone loved her dearly, including all members of the medical profession who treated her over many years. She was a long-time member of the Legion of Mary at St. Mary’s Church, ministering to the aged and infirmed for whom she had special love and compassion.
Mary Jane was an exemplary wife, mother, and grandmother. How she loved those grandchildren – and oh how they loved her. The grandchildren cherished the countless gatherings at Mana and Papa’s house, which were always filled with laughter and joy. Family trips to resorts and amusement parks were made all the more special because of the beautiful memories she helped create. Mary Jane was the heart of every family activity and a gracious host for holidays and celebrations.
In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her brothers George, Ed, John, Paul, and Mike Ceremuga, and by her daughter Lisa Bachtel.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph Perrotti, her daughters Gina (Brian) Jones of Navarre, OH, and Jennifer (Tony) Ross of Canton, OH. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her grandchildren Victoria, Matthew, Maria, Ashley, Jack, Emma, Anthony, and Reese, plus six step-grandchildren, Caitlin, Rachael, Zack, Jett, Jaxyn, and Jase. In addition, she leaves behind her first great-grandchild, Nina, who brought her immense delight.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 15th and 9:30 to 10:30 on Tuesday, June 16th, at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
