Mary "Mabel" Hardesty, 73, of Navarre, passed away on November 18, 2024 at home surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on September 20, 1951 to the late Glenn and Eleanor (Singhaus) Milligan in Massillon.
A 1969 graduate of Tuslaw High School, she received her associate degree in Nursing from Kent State University. Mabel worked for Massillon Community Hospital/Affinity Hospital for 43 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed playing softball, learning to quilt with her sister for the Fallen Blue Quilts, helping people in need, traveling, and social gatherings. Mabel was a member of The Son's and Daughter's of Herman.
Mabel is survived by her loving husband, Terry L. Hardesty; children, Kris (Fred) Combs, Kim (Dave) Hartline, and Melinda (Jay) Hershberger; grandchildren, Lauren Rohr, Spencer Rohr, Mickenzie Rink, Sydney Hershberger, Bradyn Rink, Sophia Hershberger, Bekah Combs, and Isaac Combs; great-grandson, Kasen Miller; two sisters, Linda (Dennis) Bryant and Donna (Ron) Marsinick; and many other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Milligan.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, with a memorial service to begin at 2:00 pm, with Bill Welsch and Fred Combs, officiating.
Inurnment will take place at a later date at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
