Born on August 27, 1964, Mary Kay's life was a testament to hard work and devotion, both in her professional endeavors and personal relationships.
An accomplished professional, Mary Kay held the esteemed position of Vice President of Operations at G2 Surfaces Inc. Her commitment to excellence and diligent work ethic earned her great respect among colleagues and peers alike. Her contributions to the company were immeasurable, reflecting a career defined by perseverance and leadership.
Mary Kay’s educational journey began at Canton Central Catholic High School, from which she graduated with pride. She furthered her studies at Stark State College, earning an associate’s degree that laid the foundation for her successful career.
Beyond the professional sphere, Mary Kay was a woman of deep affection and cherished connections. She loved her family and friends dearly, often expressing her care and devotion in countless heartfelt ways. Known for her culinary skills, she delighted in cooking in her spare time and earned a reputation as a food snob among her family.
Mary Kay is lovingly survived by her significant other, William Simmons; her son, Owen (Kylee) Groves; her sisters Lynda Lightfoot and Rosanne (Butch) Satrang; and her treasured dog, Zeus. Her presence in their lives brought immense joy and strength.
The loss of Mary Kay is deeply felt, particularly as she was preceded in death by her father, Donald Dressel; mother, Gerri Dressel; brother, Stephen Dressel; and she is now rejoined with her husband, Rick "RG" Groves, all of whom hold a cherished place in her memory.

Those wishing to honor Mary Kay’s life may attend the visitation on May 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Both events will be held at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, located at 1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, Ohio.
