Mark A. Amey, 62, of Massillon, passed away on August 25, 2026 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy.
He was born on January 16, 1964 to Robert and the late Elizabeth (Galasso) Amey in Youngstown, OH.
He was a graduate of Perry High School and received his Bachelors degree from Kent State University. Mark worked for Goodwill Industries, Stark Regional Community Corrections Center, he also worked as a Delivery Sales Distributor for Lance. He was a member of the Mapleton Gun Club and the NRA.
Mark is survived by his loving father Robert (Nancy) Amey; sister, Luann (Nick Herron) Smith, niece and nephew Sydney (Seth Casto) Smith and Adam Herron; bonus sisters Joyce (Mark Devane) Collins and Vicki (Mark) Mowery; bonus brothers Chris (Lori) Strobel and Jim (Rachel) Haught; bonus nieces Alexis Collins and Olivia Mowery; special friends Paul and Paula Lesniak; and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 11 am to 12 pm at the Towpath Family Church of the Nazarene, Canal Fulton, A Celebration of Life will start at 12 pm with Pastor Gordon Runyon, officiating. The family requests that attendees wear their favorite sports attire, to support Mark's love of the game.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Perry Adult Booster Club (in memo put Perry Football Team), 3737 13th ST SW, Massillon, OH 44646.
