Marie E. Rohr

Marie Eldon Rohr, 93, of Canton, Ohio, passed away May 28, 2025. She was born on December 27, 1931 to the late Charles and Eldon (Brandt) Ringley. In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her three sisters, Margaret, Carol, and Charlene; as well as her loving husband, Louis E. Rohr, who passed away in 2023 after almost 70 years of marriage.

Marie graduated from Massillon Washington High School in 1949. She then attended Kent State University where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and belonged to Alpha Gamma Delta. She worked for Jackson Local Schools for 31 years until her retirement. Marie enjoyed knitting, sewing, and was an avid reader. She loved spending time at her second home in the Outer Banks.

Marie is survived by her children, Charles (Tina) Rohr, Laura (Paul) Willoughby and Eric (Tami) Rohr; grandchildren, Daniel Rohr, Elizabeth Thompson, James Rohr, and Jake Rohr; great-grandchildren, Jack and Grace Rohr, and Violet and Iris Thompson.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Paquelet Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12:00pm with burial to follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
