Margaret Babetski, age 93 of Massillon, died on Monday, November 7th at Gaslite Villa. She was born on October 5, 1918 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Frank A., Sr. and Ada (Keller) Getz. Margaret was the former owner of Crystal Lake Park. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Canton Amateur Sports Hall of Fame, the Massillon Women's Bowling Association and the Elms Monday Morning Women's Golf League. Her last place of employment was at Massillon Wine and Spirits. Along with her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Dutch" Babetski, sisters, Estelle Roehlig Viola Hill and Mary Ellen Getz and brothers Vernon Getz, Sport Getz, Jim Getz, Frank Getz, Jr. and Howard Getz. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Sally (David) Dukich, Linda Letcavits and Tom (Cathy) Babetski, her sister Pat (Carl) Rudy, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister in law Grace Elliott. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday (TONIGHT) from 6-8 P.M. The family suggests memorial be made in the name of Margaret Babetski to Crossroads Hospice of Green.
