Marcia A. Staley

Marcia (Lawrence) Staley, age 81, of Jackson Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026, following her battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Marcia was born in Canton, Ohio on May 14, 1945, to the late Albert F. Lawrence and Anne E. Lawrence. She was a proud 1963 graduate of Canton Lehman High School and attended Aultman School of Nursing. On December 2, 1967, she married John “Tom” Staley. She attended RiverTree Christian Church (Jackson).

Marcia worked as a bank teller at State Savings Bank in Columbus, Ohio, prior to starting her family, and ultimately retired as a teller from the former National City Bank. After retirement, she volunteered her time with the RiverTree Christian Church Food Pantry. She also enjoyed spending time with her Lehman High School reunion group, planning class reunions and gathering for lunch and dinner.

Marcia is predeceased by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, and a nephew.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years, Tom Staley, daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Jeff Snyder, son, Mark Staley (Sondra Phillips), two treasured grandchildren, her niece and nephew, great-nieces and nephew, and many cousins and friends.

To know Marcia was to love Marcia; she was one of a kind!

A public visitation will be held from 12 P.M until 2 P.M on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home located at 1100 Wales Rd. NE., Massillon, Ohio, 44646. A funeral service will take place immediately following at 2 P.M.

A special thank you to Altercare of Country Lawn, Rose Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation and WellSpring Hospice for their exceptional care of our wife, mother and grandmother during her decline.
