Lillian Elkins

Lillian M. Elkins, age 96 of Massillon, passed away Monday June 20, 2005 at the Laurels Nursing Home. She was born in Holmes County on April 4, 1909 to the late Lyman & Jessie (Nowells) Sweigert. Lillian was a taxi driver for the Davis Taxi Co., where she retired after 10 years. Lillian enjoyed gardening in the outdoors as well as sewing. She was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Betty Faust. She is survived by; one daughter, Marilyn Petyovszki of Florida; one brother, Clifford Sweigert of Colorado and many nieces and nephews in Colorado. She will be sadly missed by her friends and neighbors. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Cebula officiating.
