Leslie Allen Waltz, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on August 5, 1948, Leslie’s life was guided by his devotion to family and a steadfast work ethic that marked his various roles throughout the years.

Leslie graduated from Sandy Valley High School in Magnolia, Ohio, where the personal qualities that would define his life. Soon after, he answered the call of duty by serving his country in the United States Navy, an experience that shaped his character and fostered lifelong values of service and integrity.

Following his military service, Leslie worked for Timken Co. until his retirement. His diligence and skill were evident to everyone who knew him, and his commitment to excellence did not wane after retirement. He embarked on a second career at Powell Electric, dedicating 19 years to the company and forging friendships and memories that would last a lifetime. Leslie was also a devout member of Divine Mercy Parish (St. Barbara's Church), and he was a member of The Holy Family Institute for many years.

At the heart of Leslie’s world was his family. He was a loving father to Steve Waltz, and Brian Waltz, and he welcomed Katie Waltz as a cherished daughter-in-law. Leslie’s family extended to his adored grandchildren, Gabby, Loyal, and Emerson, who were a source of great joy and pride in his later years. His close-knit circle also included his sisters, Loraine Adams, Carolyn Waltz, and Marilyn Mason, and his brother-in-law, Dan Mason, each of whom brought companionship and support.

Leslie’s enduring love for his late wife, Aurora Waltz, was evident to all who knew them, and he held cherished memories of their life together. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Virginia Waltz, whose values and legacy he carried forward.

Leslie Allen Waltz will be remembered for his love, dedication, and the lasting impact he made in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy endures in the family who survives him and the many lives he touched over a lifetime of kindness and service.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Leslie’s life during calling hours at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646, on July 22, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass of 
Christian burial will be celebrated by Fr. John E. Sheridan at Divine Mercy Parish (St. Barbara's), 2813 Lincoln Way Northwest, Massillon, OH 44647, on July 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with the graveside service will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Erie Street, Massillon.
