Larry "Mike" Baer

Larry “Mike” Baer, 88, passed away June 26, 2025.

Mike was born in Canton, OH on June 14, 1937 to the late Charles and Ruth Baer. He was a 1955 graduate of Timken High School. Mike married the love of his life in 1960, the late Karen Baer. Before her passing in March, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in February. Mike was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He retired as a machinist, working for Ohio Drilling Company.

Mike is survived by his two children, Bob Baer (Kati) and Shelly Wheeland (Greg); grandchildren Chris Baer & Jacob Baer, and Ryan (Stacy) Neal & Rob Neal; and brother Tom Baer.

In addition to his wife, Karen and his parents, Mike is preceded in death by siblings Shirlee DeMuesy and Carole Rohrer.

Per Mike’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Mike and Karen will be announced at a later date.
