Joseph V. Sibley, 89, of Navarre, slipped peacefully into the arms of his savior on December 6, 2025.
He was born on May 26, 1936 to the late VC and Etta Mae (Weatherly) Sibley in Negreet, LA.
He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon. Joe retired from Grief Board after 44 years in the paper industry. He enjoyed fishing and family hunting trips in the mountains of Colorado.
Joseph is survived by his loving children, Frances (Bryan) Stuck, Donald (Brenda) Sibley, Donna (Mark) Fortner; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bobbie Johnson and Mary Yarbrough; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Rasberry) Sibley; infant son, Ronald; four sisters; and two brothers.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 14, 2025, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Epworth United Methodist Church, Massillon, with a memorial service starting at 4:00 pm,with Pastor Linda Slutz officiating.
A private inurnment will take place in Hamilton Cemetery, Grant, LA.
