Joseph E. Weldon

Joseph E. Weldon, age 85 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on March 19, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA. Joseph was a U.S. Army veteran and served during WWII. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as a sales manager in the chemical division. Joseph was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer at Shady Hollow Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, great-grandson, Ryan Anthony Weldon and brothers, Arthur and George Weldon. He is survived by his wife Lucybelle Weldon of 35 years of marriage; his sons, Joseph (Pat) Weldon and Thomas Weldon; his daughter, Brenda (Glenn) Renner; his step-son, James (Michele) Boughton; his step-daughter, Beth Boughton; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; his brother, John “Jack” Weldon; his sisters, Miriam and Anne Weldon, Helen Orlandi and Margaret Mary Weldon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday from 6-8 P.M. Fr.
