John "Butch" Mohr

John "Butch" Mohr, born on October 4, 1950, departed this life on June 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of deep devotion to family, service, and steadfast integrity. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, beloved brother, and loyal friend.

John was a proud graduate of Washington High School, where he built the foundation for a life driven by commitment and honor. Shortly after, he answered the call to serve his country with distinction, joining the United States Navy where he served in Vietnam as an aircraft mechanic on the U.S.S. Americana. His time in the Navy exemplified his sense of duty and strengthened the values by which he lived each day.

Above all else, John cherished his family. He is survived by his loving children: Jennifer (Ron) Stauffer, Joey Mohr, and Abbey (Adam) Mohr, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy; sister, Carole Aquilino; grandchildren, Beau Stauffer, Mackenzie Stauffer, and Hadleigh Jackson, whose laughter and presence were a continual source of happiness for him. He is also survived by his second wife, Carol Mohr; her daughters, Michelle Lahr and Annie Nichols. Additionally, he has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he loved.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Mohr, his mother, Helen Mohr, his sister, Janice Johnson, and his first wife, Jane Carter-Mohr, whose memories remain precious to his heart and those of his family.

A Celebration of Life honoring John "Butch" Mohr will be held on July 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pine View Acres Chapel, located at 4194 Butterbridge Rd NW, North Lawrence, OH 44666.
