Joanne Patricia (Glass) Bulso, 91, of Perry Township passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025.
Born to Walter and Lois (Snyder) Glass on April 13, 1934, Joanne grew up in Canton, Ohio.
She graduated from Timken High School in 1952 and went on to join the Aultman Nursing Teaching Program, where she devoted her early career to training countless others in the nursing profession. Her work set a high standard of care and left a lasting impact on patients and colleagues alike.
Joanne met the love of her life, Joseph Bulso, and they were married on April 7, 1956. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in family, hard work, and community. She was co-owner of Redicon Corporation as well as Zelei’s Dress Store in Canton, Ohio, where she was able to combine her love of fashion and shopping to working closely with her daughter, Sharon. Joanne was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and NFL football fan. She was also a faithful watcher of the weather. Most importantly, above all, a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother. Fiercely loving and proud of her family, she carried that devotion with her every day of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and their cherished daughter, Sharon (Bulso) Kolberg.
She is survived by her sisters: Ruth (Glass) Schumacher, Karen (Glass) Provost, brother Lynne (Anne) Glass, and her son-in-law, Robert Kolberg. Joanne’s legacy of love also lives on through grandson Michael (Nicole) Kolberg, and Liz (Matt) Collver, along with Great Grandchildren Payton, Brooklyn, Reagan, Cameron, and Bryce. She also had many loving nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon with funeral services to begin at 11:00 am, Pastor William B. Stuart will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the remarkable woman she was.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to Dr. Baum, and the staff of Bethany Nursing Home in Canton. Their care and support will never be forgotten. Joanne will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she so generously shared with her family and friends.
