Janet R Slone

Janet Ruth (Denton) Slone, 72, passed away on August 31, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Aultman Hospital in Canton after a long illness.

Jan was born in Millersburg, Ohio, and she was the daughter of the late Raymond Denton and Amy Whitehouse. Janet, a 1971 graduate of Perry High School, spent most of her life in the Perry and Massillon area. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, will be missed dearly by her entire family. She celebrated 44 years of marriage with her loving husband, Bob, this past January. Janet was preceded in death by both parents, loving stepfather; Aaron Whitehouse and brother; R. Scott Denton (Anna). Janet is survived by her husband; Robert Slone, sons; Chad Byington and Michael Slone (Amy), daughters; Amie, Ashley, and Amber Slone, twin sister; JuDee Reed (Gary), and stepsister; Janice Whitehouse, Jeanine Denton of Massillon, Karen Erb, Nancy Kautz (Dave), Bobby Huprich (Kathy), and Kenny Huprich. Her grandchildren Simon and Mabel Slone, and Truston Carbaugh will remember their Oma's love and caring. She will also be missed by loving friends Barby Schetzer, Debbie Davis, Barb Schollaert, Linda Howick-Fowler, Cindy Murphy, and Linda Leech.

Cremation has taken place as she requested, and she will be mourned and remembered privately by her family.
