James Rose

James W. Rose, age 83 of Massillon, died Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Country Lawn Nursing Home. He was born on December 28, 1921 in Spencer, WV and was the son of the late Charles M. & Bertha (Greathouse) Rose. He was a Massillon resident since 1954. He retired from Republic Steel in 1984 where he was an electrician. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army serving in the Pacific Theatre from 1941 – 1946. He was a member of the Anchor Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Rose in 1993. Survivors include two daughters, Ann (Mike) Herman of Massillon and Sue (Kenny) Walkup of Massillon, their mother Frances Randles of Massillon, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday one hour before the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Anchor Baptist Church Building Fund.
