Jim had a zest for life and found joy in the simple pleasures of the outdoors. He relished taking rides in the countryside, soaking in the beauty of nature, and taking his loyal companion Montana and great dynes for a walk. Additionally, Jim enjoyed playing his guitar, frequently serenading friends and family with his favorite tunes by Neil Young.

Jim's family was the cornerstone of his existence. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Debby, and their daughter, Tracy Marshall.
