Howard D Bennett

September 27, 1933 — July 12, 2025

Massillon

Howard Donald Bennett passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in the early morning of July 12th, 2025, at 91. He was born on September 27, 1933, in Canton, Ohio to Father Howard F. Kinsinger and Mother Mary (Sayer) Kinsinger. In his early years he attended Mckinley High School. He went on to join the Army as a medic in Fort Hood, Texas during the Korean conflict. He retired from Massillon Mclain Warehouse and was a member of Teamsters 92 in Canton, Ohio.

He was a survivor of a head on collision on Lincoln Way East in May of 1969 and his recovery was lifelong. Dr. Charles Paquelet did a wonderful job putting him back together. After his accident he spent many summers at Petersburg Landing on Leesville Lake with his family and friends.

Howard loved remodeling the homes they lived in and maintaining his lawn over the years. After his retirement he loved to do flea markets and worked at the Barn Sale in Waco. He loved Pepsi and his wife’s cooking and had a knack for making people feel at ease at all the family gatherings.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father and his brother, Willard Warner Kinsinger, and Sister, Iona Rose Enoch. He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Eleanor (Lindemood) Bennett, his sister Mary Ellen Boucscher, his three children of whom he was deeply proud Susan Graham, Robert Bennett and Rebecca Ramey, his grandchildren Erin Norris, Daniel Hale (Consuela Stark), Mary Zupp (James), Brian Graham (Kaila), Emily Hale, Kyle Bennett, and Amie Bell, his great grandchildren Sydney, Lexie, & Caitlin Norris, Cole Graham, Severus Hale, Ike, Gilligan, Mack, Eleanor, and Jamie Zupp; and great-great granddaughter Juniper Bennett Rhodes as well as many nieces and nephews.

Howard will be cremated and laid to rest at Foxfield Cemetery with a beautiful view of Amish country. The family is planning a celebration of life in September. In lieu of flowers his family would prefer that any donations be made to Aultman Hospice for the wonderful care that they gave him.
