Hilda Lowery

Hilda Lowery, 86, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away on February 25, 2025. She was born on September 11, 1938 to the late Lillie and Verdie Lowery. 

Hilda was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and loved to go on walks. She also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Cavaliers. More than anything, she loved to spoil her nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Lucy, Ann, and Mae Pearl.

She is survived by her, nephew, Darryl (Cassandra) Bates, Sr. and their children, Darryl Bates Jr., and Jessica (Bren) Hill; niece, Deborah Jordan and her children LaToya Jordan, Troy (Yu) Jordan, John Woods, Darryl Woods, and Sade Harrison; niece, Lori (Amy) Lightfoot and their daughter Vivian Lightfoot; niece, Angela Lightfoot and her children Stacy (Tracy) Smith-Lightfoot and Tanika Copenny; niece, Monica Freeman; and nephew, Brian Lightfoot.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 7, 2025 at Friendship Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery, next to her sister Mae Pearl.
