Helen J. Hopper

Helen J. Hopper age 84 of North Lawrence passed away Tuesday May 31, 2011 at Legends Care Center. Helen was born November 7, 1926 in Massillon to the late William & Abbey (White) Lantzer. She had been employed at K Mart and Doerflingers Bakery. Helen will be remembered for her dedication to her husband and grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by an infant daughter, her great-granddaughter, her Aunt Lola Akey and four brothers John, Carl, Robert & Barton Lantzer. Helen is survived by her husband of 53 years, Russell J. Hopper Jr.: five children, Myrna ‘Penny’ (Jim) Masters, Ted Bubenchik, Steve (Marsha) Bubenchik, Rusty (Lisa) Hopper and Carol (Steve) Cooper; 3 step-children; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She leaves two sisters Rose Swisher and Katy VanLewen and two sisters-in-law, Carol Hopper and Anne Lantzer. Funeral Service will be 9:30 AM Saturday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to help defray expenses.
