Gwendolyn Evon Murry-Williams age 54, affectionately known as “Bozo” and Gwen to her loved ones transitioned on April 1, 2026.
Gwen was born on November 5, 1971, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Gwen moved from Arkansas to Ohio at the age of 13. She played basketball and was very athletic. She graduated from Timken Senior High School, where she participated in the Nursing program. She received her Associates Certification from Akron Medical-Dental Institute. Gwen was a dedicated, hard-worker, and was currently employed at the United States Postal Service in Massillon, Ohio. Gwen enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid sports lover, as evident in her support of her children, siblings, nieces, and nephews. You could always count on her to be at every and any event.
Gwen was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Jean Graves; and grandparents: Ruby Lee & Johnny Murry, and John Goodloe and Mary Harper. Gwen leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 22 years, Gary Williams; children: Tristan Murry and Bryant Murry; step-daughter: Angel Everett; father: Willie Jones, step-father: Donald Graves; siblings: Vernon (Blake) Murry, Marcus (Kami) Murry, Sylene (Jerald) Robinson, Aaron Graves, Alicia Graves, Derek (Aundrea) Graves, Jeremy (Selina) Graves, Clifford (Sherri) Graves, Souleatha (Allen) Calmese, Rhonda McGinnis, Kacey Thompson, Willie Jones Jr., Diana (Larry) Prewitt, and Shawndia (Gary) North; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Her love and spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 3:30pm - 5:00PM at Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon, OH 44646.
